EQUAL ACCESS
Our services are charged on a sliding scale based on how much you earn each year and how many people are in your family / household.
We charge hourly rates based on family size and verified annual income on a case-by-case basis and will consider whether a client is required to make court ordered payments such as alimony and child support.
Most law firms in the Philadelphia region charge $250 - $750 an hour. At Equal Access Legal Services, our lowest rates start at $50 per hour.
We also offer services on a fixed fee basis at drastically lower rates than "for profit" law firms for certain services in immigration and estate planning.
To determine eligibility, we require proof of income, assets, and certain expenses. This may include copies of current pay stubs, benefit statements, support or maintenance orders and account balances.
We offer these services at a discounted rate because we believe that everyone has a right to excellent legal representation. By providing affordable access to legal services, families can prepare for the future, instead of only trying to fix the past.
