The Board oversees and advises the management of Equal Access Legal Services with the goal of building a sustainable, successful legal practice.

Alison Stohr
President

​

Alison brings a varied professional background to the board, having worked as a teacher, Peace Corps Volunteer, white collar defense attorney, Third Circuit law clerk for the Honorable Thedore McKee, and education policy researcher. Alison currently works as a Principal Fellow at Feltonville School of Arts & Science, a public school in North Philadelphia.

Justin Gero

Justin brings experience managing and advising communications, marketing, and public relations for Philadelphia nonprofit organizations. He's currently the Senior Manager of Public Affairs at the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium. Justin earned his BA and MS from Drexel University, and completed the Young Involved Philadelphia's Nonprofit Board Prep Program before joining the Equal Access Legal Services board.

John Krawczyk

​

John at is an attorney at Ahlers Cressman & Sleight PLLC in Seattle Washington. He currently concentrates his practice on representing clients in construction, real estate, and complex commercial disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as in private arbitration. He also has experience with employment and commercial litigation. John also mentors young adults who are considering legal practice in both the Lawyers in the Classroom program and Swarthmore Theta Career Collaborative.

Edy Penn

​

Edy is a lawyer and HR professional who currently serves as the Human Resources Manager for EdReports.org and is the owner/principal of PennSquared Consulting. She has a broad range of HR experience, including talent acquisition, executive coaching, staff training and development, and culture-building. She also has varied experience in the nonprofit arena having served as a board member, executive, staff, and adviser to various organizations. Edy has a BA and JD from Temple University.

Luis Bravo

​

Luis Bravo is a Paralegal at Justice at Work, a nonprofit legal services organization that assists low-wage workers with employment and immigration problems. Outside of work, Luis is active in the Philadelphia community serving on committees in the The Enterprise Center and the Garden Court Community Association. In 2019, Luis graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Political Science. In the future, Luis hopes to continue working in the areas of law, human rights, and political activism. On his spare time, Luis also enjoys listening to music, reading a good book, and sipping coffee on his front porch.
